Things to look out for in the Downtown District this holiday season: The Holiday Passport is back!

Holiday passports are now available at downtown businesses. Make any purchase at a downtown business and receive a stamp on your passport. All fully stamped passports are eligible for the draw. Drop your fully stamped passport off at any downtown business before January 12th. Winners will be announced on January 19th!

Enjoy visiting the downtown shops this holiday season with three prizes available!
– 1st place is a $1000 Downtown District gift card.
– 2nd place is a $200 Downtown District gift card.
– 3rd place is a $100 Downtown District gift card.

How to participate:

Get ready to embark on a festive journey through downtown Belleville by participating in the Belleville Holiday Passport
program. Starting November 15th, 2023, you can pick up your passport for free at any participating local shop or the
Belleville Chamber of Commerce.As you explore the heart of Belleville, indulge in the holiday spirit by making purchases at the diverse array of
participating businesses. Each purchase, no matter how small, earns you a stamp on your passport. Collect as many stamps as you can from these local gems to fill your passport to the brim. Once your passport is adorned with stamps, drop it off  for a chance to win big! We’re talking about a grand prize of $1000 that can be yours to
spend on a spectacular shopping spree at any of the fantastic downtown Belleville shops. This initiative is not just about the thrill of winning; it’s a
heartwarming way to support and celebrate our beloved local businesses during this joyous season. Let’s make this holiday season in Belleville one to remember. Grab your
passport, shop local, and let the festive magic begin!

Obtaining Your Passport:

Passports can be obtained for free at any participating downtown Belleville shop or the BIA starting from November 20th, 2023.

Stamping Your Passport:

Present your passport at the time of purchase to receive a stamp. Ensure that the business has a designated stamp for the Holiday Passport program.

 Passport Completion & Grand Prize Draw:

Collect stamps from as many participating businesses as possible to fill your passport. A fully stamped passport means you are eligible for the grand prize draw. your fully stamped passport off at any downtown business before January 12th. Winners will be announced on January 19th!

On Fridays (December 8th) you can experience the following activities in the downtown core:

Santa’s Workshop: Open from 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m. At Loyalist Accelerate (249 Front St). Come experience the magic of Santa’s Workshop in the Downtown District with a special appearance from Santa himself! Families and children are invited to take their own pictures with Santa, get ready to capture those priceless moments and memories that will last a lifetime. For the little ones, a Kids’ Corner featuring colouring book stations will be set up. Children can unleash their creativity, immersing themselves in the holiday spirit and taking home their artistic masterpieces as treasured keepsakes. Colouring books have been generously donated by Discover Belleville. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Downtown Belleville is excited to introduce the Welcoming Streets Wrapping Station. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their items and receipts from any downtown business, and the wrapping station will take care of the gift wrapping, adding an extra touch of holiday magic to the shopping experience.

Enchanted Holiday Hop: Every Friday, all day, participating restaurants and cafes throughout downtown will serve their signature festive beverages, cocktails or mocktails! Enjoy the a day in the downtown with friends, family or someone special and check out what our talented restaurants and cafes have to offer! Or, join us for a fun night out with friends and savour these special holiday beverages!

Sizzling Santas and Elves (19+) While on your night out we will have special appearances of Sizzling Santas and Lady Elves roaming the downtown from 6-9 PM – perfect for selfies and adding to the festive cheer!

Saturday’s (December 9th) you can experience the following activities in the Market Square:

Enchanting Carriage Rides: From 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. glide through our beautifully adorned streets in enchanting carriage rides – a nostalgic experience perfect for creating unforgettable moments with loved ones.

Santa in the Square! Santa will be present in the Market Square from 11:00a.m.-4:00p.m. meeting visitors and available for free family photos. Bring your pets; they are family too!

Live performances of Christmas classics with musician Spencer Evans, along with talented Buskers, including Jack Frost on stilts, interactive snowball juggling, and a festive glow show!

Free Family Fun Workshops and Activities: Spark creativity with our series of free family workshops! From DIY centre piece making with help from Rebecca at Dustin’s Flowers festive crafting for kids, to S’mores making sponsored by Boretski Gallery, a chance to Magical Reindeer Food, hot chocolate and much more! Join in the festive fun and make delightful keepsakes together.
