  • Matthieu LeonardChairMatthieu Leonard is a French-Canadian entrepreneur and an engineer with a diverse background spanning real estate investment, property management and engineering/operations. While deeply committed to professional pursuits, Matthieu is equally passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
  • Edie HaslauerVice ChairEdie has been living and working in the Downtown District for over 10 years. For her, it has been a true pleasure making friends and doing business in this environment. Over the years as a property and business owner, she has witnessed the revitalization and growth of Belleville and is proud to be a part of it.
  • Kim FedorSecretaryKim is a designer, graphic artist and writer. She has lived, worked, and played in downtown Belleville since 2017. A strong believer in the downtown lifestyle and community, she has managed Buhran Developments (historically renovated properties) since 2009 and co-owns Blue Violin boutique hotel.
  • Rakesh ParmarTreasurer Rakesh has an MBA in Marketing and 7 years of management experience. He's the proud owner of BayLeaf, Linguine's and other Bay of Quinte restaurants. In 2020, he relocated from Calgary to Belleville to take the helm at Linguine's. Excited for the journey ahead, he aims to bring his past experiences to the table while making a positive impact on the city.

  • Alexander BruceThe LarkAlex joins the board as a local entrepreneur and owner of The Lark, bringing a blend of analytic, creative, and management skills. A lifelong learner and team player, he focuses on growth, community development, and expanding inclusion through equity and diversity.
  • Lindsay DransfieldDoki Doki Lindsay is the operations executive at Doki Doki, Belleville’s first shop for fans of Japanese anime and culture. She has a background in design and marketing as well as over a decade’s worth of management experience. In her free time, Lindsay is passionate about animals. She is excited to bring a youthful perspective and energy.
  • Jennifer HunterTinkered Decor and MoreJennifer is the managing owner of Tinkered Décor and More, a gift and handicraft boutique in Downtown Belleville. She is also a seasoned travel consultant and owner of The Inspired Wanderer Travel Co. Jennifer is President of Quinte Women in Business as well as a member of the Select Referral Team, a Quinte area business networking group.
  • Brooke MillerRunway BridalBrooke is a passionate bridal expert, owner and entrepreneur who believes that finding “the dress” should be one of the most joyful parts of a bride’s journey. With 13 years of experience in the industry, Brooke has built Runway Bridal on the foundation of exceptional service, inclusivity, and community spirit.
  • Jessica PurchaseEvolve WellnessJessica is the owner of Evolve Wellness Studio in downtown Belleville. She started Evolve in January 2019 and in May of 2023 moved her business downtown. Evolve is an inclusive, community-minded, and joyful place to work out. Take a yoga class, group fitness, pilates or enjoy an RMT session!
  • Garnet ThompsonCity Council Appointee Garnet is a devoted family man, married with four children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A dedicated City of Belleville councillor since 2006, he serves on multiple subcommittees each term, focusing on community engagement. After 55 years in retail, he retired but remains committed to making a positive impact in his community.
