The Owner’s Choice

Bond’s drink of choice is a Vesper Martini, shaken not stirred, and he always looks cool ordering it. For some of us, it’s a little harder to pick out what to drink or to find a go-to signature cocktail. Do you want to have a specialty drink that makes people go, “wow, I’ll have what they’re having” but are a little afraid of trying out new things? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ve come up with “The Owner’s Choice“: a list of recommendations from the owner’s of your favourite businesses on their favourite order.
The Smokin’ 116 Bistro recommends The Johnny Sweet. Johnny is a well known Local Rock star and philanthropist in our community and is doing a lot to cheer up children, donate to the food bank, and find various creative ways to fundraise for local initiatives. Also, he is an amazing musician! Every Johnny Sweet cocktail sold helps to support our local community by way of feeding the less fortunate, and anonymous donations.
Capers recommends La Playa. Spanish for “The Beach”, this drink is a beautiful turquoise coconut lime beverage, rimmed with brown sugar, and topped with a tiny umbrella. La Playa will transport you to a beach vacation right here in Downtown Belleville!
The Lark is recommending two drinks for each of its two owners, Alex and Céline. Alex’s favourite is a Blood Orange Paloma. It’s the Lark’s the summery-spritzy-sister version of a classic paloma (usually grapefruit, tequila, lime) made with blood orange, altos tequila, fresh lime juice, salt and seltzer. Swing on down and they can shake one up for you fresh on their patio all summer long or you take it home with you in a bottled in-house version!
Also from The Lark, Céline’s favourite is the Paris Is Burning cocktail. Perhaps the most wonderful and vivacious cocktail at The Lark, this drink is made of Armagnac, Dom Benedictine, Ancho-infused Vermouth, Lagavulin Scotch, Lemon Zest. Get a taste of France and fire with this fun cocktail!
The Export Bar and Grill recommends the Blueberry Mojito. Step into summer with this refreshing club soda-based drink topped with fresh mint, blueberries, and a homemade simple syrup and lime sour mix! Simple ingredients to make a great drink.
