Belleville Seedling Giveaway

Belleville Market Square

The Community Trees bare-root seedling giveaway is back on May 3 in Market Square behind City Hall (169 Front St.) starting at 9 a.m. Residents can select from a variety of native tree and shrub species including:

• Alleghany Serviceberry
• Black Cherry
• Bur Oak
• Button Bush
• Chokecherry
• Eastern White Pine
• Eastern White Cedar
• Nannyberry
• Paper Birch
• Red Maple
• Red Pine
• Silver Maple
• Tamarack
• White Spruce

As these seedlings are in limited quantities, residents may pick up to five seedlings per household and no more than three of the same species. The event will run as long as quantities last however, supplies are expected to go quickly, so residents are encouraged to get there early.

Our Featured Member Artist, Frances Key, presents “In Reverie” with evocative oil images and an intriguing installation piece.

Free Concert: Cultural Echoes – Narratives for Cello and Piano

The Parrott Gallery invites you to a free concert, “Cultural Echoes: Narratives for Cello and Piano”, a performance by Luke Bell and Jaeyoung Chong on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. This free concert features a diverse range of works by Debussy, Schumann, Janáček, Alexina Louie, and Fazil Say portraying how culture influences culture through musical performance. “Cultural Echoes” is generously sponsored by McDougall Insurance. All are welcome to attend! Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 2:00 p.m. in Gallery 1.
