Brian Legere is a Canadian guitarist and singer originally from Hamilton, Ontario. He gained valuable experience at a young age playing blues, rock, country, and jazz in various hometown venues. After a long career on the Toronto music scene, both as a teacher and performer, he relocated to Picton, Ontario, where he has lived for eight years. Legere’s guitar and vocal stylings have roots in jazz, blues, rock, and folk—genres collectively referred to as “Americana.” He leads the Brian Legere Quartet, which has performed at various venues, including The Waring House in Picton, Ontario. In addition to his performances, Legere serves as the Artistic Director of the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival. |

The Community Trees bare-root seedling giveaway is back on May 3 in Market Square behind City Hall (169 Front St.) starting at 9 a.m. Residents can select from a variety of native tree and shrub species including: • Alleghany Serviceberry As these seedlings are in limited quantities, residents may pick up to five seedlings per household and no more than three of the same species. The event will run as long as quantities last however, supplies are expected to go quickly, so residents are encouraged to get there early.
