Community Improvement Plan
The City of Belleville Community Improvement Plan (C.I.P.) is a mechanism which allows the City to direct funds towards specific projects that encourage rehabilitation and/or development to meet specific goals.

The intention of the C.I.P. is to reduce the costs of projects which will:
Increase the supply of affordable rental units city-wide;
Increase the supply of rental units downtown;
Revitalize the downtown building stock; and,
Remediate and redevelop brownfield sites.
How to Apply
Applicants are requested to email [email protected] with their address, contact information and general description of the proposed work. Following that, we will set up a meeting/site visit out front of the building (taking physical distancing measures) to discuss their proposal. Once that meeting has taken place they can submit an application. Applications are reviewed and approved by City Staff based off of how they best fit the Façade Guidelines. C
