Welcome back to All in, Al Fresco! My name is Melody (she/her) and I am the Downtown District’s Marketing Assistant Summer Student for 2021. Follow along with me each week for updates as we dive into the details of all the exciting things that will be happening at our hugely successful summer event – Al Fresco.
Al Fresco is back for its second year this summer until August and we are so excited for all the fun to be had. Al Fresco means “done or eaten in the open air” and this signature event is designed so that visitors can enjoy the summer rays while supporting the downtown business and promoting community!
So, get ready to come do it Al Fresco in the District with me!
Big Moves for the Giant Chair!
Our now PURPLE giant chair is going to be making a big move – you will soon find our Downtown District giant Adirondack in our Front Street closure. Keep your eyes peeled for one final exciting paint addition to the chair in the coming week, but in the meantime, it is yours to enjoy, right here in Downtown Belleville! The perfect summer photo op.

Goodbye Light Installations!
After an amazing summer of dazzling, bright lights, our installations have now left the Downtown District. We hope you enjoyed all the beautiful sights, photos, and memories that our amazing installations had to offer.

Night at the Market
Summertime shopping under the sunset and stars?! Count us in!
Come join us in the Downtown District this Friday for the Downtown Night Market featuring Side Hustle from 5-9 pm in the Front Street Closure. Jam-packed with local artisans vendors selling handmade items. Treat yourself, the kids, or loved ones – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Some businesses will also be open later to serve you including:
Scalliwag Toys: Open until 9 pm + Friday Night Magic Event
Miss Priss: Open until 9 pm
Smokin 116 Bistro: Open until 11 pm
PLUS, Downtown’s very own Bazaar Artisan Market will be doing a sidewalk sale 5-9 pm on both Friday and Saturday for some extra outdoor shopping opportunities! See you there.

Come check out our painted pianos in Century Village Square, right by Quinte Corner Cafe, The Lark, Obi’s Kitchen, Paulo’s & Dinkel’s Restaurants, Sativa Bliss Cannabis Boutiques and more!
Open Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm and Saturday 8am-4pm for you to play us a tune in the open air. Put your music skills to the test this summer! Please use the hand sanitizer provided before and after playing.

Final Free Games on Front
Ready, set, PLAY! As the summer wraps up, so do the games. Come play them this week before they close for the season. Thanks to Scalliwag Toys, Ladder Ball and our BRAND NEW Washer Toss game will be set up in the Front Street closure this Thursday and Friday from 3 – 5 pm.
Bring the kids out for fun and games in the summer sun on this final week! Game on!
