All in, Al Fresco – Week 11
By Melody Pereira
Welcome back to All in, Al Fresco! With this being our last week, I’d like to thank you for following along with me for updates as we dove into the details of all the exciting things that happened this summer at Al Fresco. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did this summer and I can’t wait to see what is in store as the fall comes around in the Downtown District.
For the final time – come #doitalfresco with me!
Final Week of Al Fresco
It has come time that after a long summer of FUN in the open air, we are approaching our last week of Al Fresco. The summer may be closing off, but the memories, photos, and good times in the Downtown District this summer will last forever. Get out and enjoy Al Fresco for this final week before we bid it farewell – you won’t regret it!
Night Market ft. Side Hustle
Come one, come all, to our Downtown Market featuring Side Hustle – this Friday from 5-9 pm! Meet us at the market in the Front Street Closure to check out an abundance of local artisans. Candles, jewelry, decor, and anything you can think of are all here for you. If you snag some goodies, be sure to tag @sidehustle.market on your socials.
Check out Side Hustle on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest and greatest updates on vendor lineups, giveaways, and more!
PLUS, The Downtown District will be joining the market this week as a vendor! We will be selling Al Fresco t-shirts, Downtown t-shirts, and Downtown baby onesies. Stop by to say hello and grab some Downtown District swag for the whole family.
Street Re-Opening
Tuesday, September 7 is right around the corner, and with it will come the reopening of Front Street. The Front Street closure has allowed for many fun activities this summer during Al Fresco for installations, patio extensions, markets, and fun and games. Front Street will reopen with two lanes for your convenience this fall. While the street is reopening and parklets are being removed, patios and outdoor shopping are continued to be encouraged at the discretion of each business!
Piano Lives On
With Al Fresco coming to a close, we are so excited to still have our piano out and about for your enjoyment until September 26. Musically talented? Come play us a tune on the locally painted piano, housed in Century Village. Not so musically inclined? Come by and enjoy the music in the open air and cheer on the players this week. Be sure to sanitize before and after using the piano.

Last chance for tête-à-têtes
With the tête-à-têtes being put away soon, we call you to come to check them out now!
This week take a seat downtown on one of our tête-à-têtes installed along Front St. Snap a pic while you’re at it to enter our Tête-à-tête Thursdays contest and tag us on Instagram or Facebook @downtownbelleville to be entered to win a 2021 Al Fresco collectible shirt!
Receive a DOUBLE entry if you have downtown takeout with you in the picture.
Our tête-à-têtes were designed by local artists and sponsored by local businesses! Be sure to wander the district and check them all out before they’re gone!
Music in the Air Fridays
Time to dance your way over to the Downtown District for some amazing live music on this Music in the Air Friday! Amazing artists hosted by our very own businesses in the Downtown District for you to enjoy.
Check out Gourmet Diem, Cafe Sans Souci, Capers, Uptown Funk Styling, The Smokin’ 116 Bistro, and Export Grill online for updates on who is playing when and where.
Thank you for all your support of Al Fresco and the Downtown District this summer!
