LIGHT DISPLAYS
Walk the streets of our historic Downtown with a warm drink from one of our several cafes and take in the beauty of light displays and holiday windows. Until January 10, catch your Instagram-worthy snaps at the giant trees at Front & Dundas or Century Village Square, the square frame by Empire Theatre, the gift ball frame between Ekort Realty and Twisted Anchor or the giant stars at Belleville Public Library!
SELFIES WITH SANTA
A socially distanced Santa Selfie? Coming right up! Find the giant Santa Chair in Market Square and take a selfie with the Father of Christmas. Share it online and tag @downtownbelleville!
WINTER WINDOW WALK
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with over 40 businesses Downtown having their windows painted with festive designs by Mural Maiden and She’s High on Vibes. See if you can find all 40 windows as you stroll, shop and eat Downtown.
FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
From November 19 to January 2 experience the array of lights, movements and sounds of the holidays with Belleville’s Festival of Lights! Click here for the lights route which will take you through Downtown, along the waterfront and end at Keegan Parkway at Herchimer Avenue.

Beat the weekend rush of shoppers to get your gifts on Thursdays thanks to our retailers! With many open late to serve your holiday needs, you’ll be kicking your feet up well before December 25 with all your shopping complete.
Fridays
Allow yourself to be fully immersed in the holiday spirit, listening to live music from our restaurants while the snow falls. Check out The Smokin’ 116 Bistro,Capers and Export Grill online for their Friday night line ups.
There are just under 1,000 parking spaces located within a three block radius of the downtown core.
We are challenging our visitors that are able-bodied to support the downtown by giving yourselves a bit of extra time to park in the municipal lots and walk into the downtown so that people with mobility challenges can take advantage of the on street parking.
